I have just downloaded the new Logic Pro 12. But, when I launch the app, it just says that my App Store authentication failed and it makes me either go to the App Store or quit the app. I can't use it! I am logged into the App Store and I updated it through the App Store.
I have never had this issue with any app before.

I fixed it. I have 2 different Apple IDs. From the beginning, I wasn't sure which email I wanted to use for my Apple ID. I ended up starting two different ones. I logged out of one and into the other and now my Logic works.
However! The weird thing is that both my Apple IDs are part of my family plan so it shouldn't matter anyway. Apple needs to fix that.

We are experiencing the same issue. By logging into the App Store using our App Purchasing details, we can get Logic to work but we have multi-user Macs so not practical to give these details to every user. No fix posted yet. Might be time to use Windows and another solution, like Pro Tools or Cubase.
Apple needs to fix that.
Contact apple support, they are able to merge your accounts. But you need to trigger the process.
This is happening to me too. I teach Logic at a college. This sucks
At least those other application won't limit you or attempt to keep track of who is using the software. This seems awfully heavy-handed.
Hopefully it will be fixed soon.
