email account recovery after iPhone upgrade

Hi,

I’m in the process of upgrading from an iPhone 14 to an iPhone 16e. I’ve already set up my new iPhone using the old one, but I’m having difficulty recovering one of my email accounts.

I no longer remember the password, there is no recovery email associated with the account, and the only place where I can still access this email is on my old iPhone 14.

Could you please advise on the best way to recover or transfer this email account?

Only the email provider can restore it.

BUT did you look in the Passwords app? It may be hidden, eg Outlook.com may be under Live.com

If the email service has the ability to log in via a web page then you should try that. It might have a password reset function.

If it's a Gmail account you can access it from any web browser (Firefox, Safari, Chrome, etc.) Go to Google and search for "Google Webmail Login" Gmail should be the top hit. You should be able to recover your password here

It’s gmail. And I can only see it on my old iPhone. I thought that setting up à New iPhone from a previous one will transfer the gmail account directly .
