MacBook Pro M1 fans constant: Is battery the cause?

Good afternoon all! I have a MacBook Pro A2338 M1. I inherited from my son, who moved out and left it with me ! I thought it was a nice gesture until I booted it up and the fans won’t stop running.

tried up to now :

> booted into recovery mode and erased the SSD

>installed a clean copy of OS

>updated to Tahoe

> run first aid in Disk utilities

> restarted the Mac into recovery mode and run diagnostics ( no problem, only the battery that needs replacing)

could it be the battery causing the fault ? If not what do I try next?

M1 A2338 is the original M1 (plain) processor model with 13-in display, released in 2020.

it might only have the default 8 GB of main memory, a bit small for today's MacOS like Tahoe. You may need to manage how Many Apps are open at once and watch disk space carefully, so as to maintain at least 20 percent FREE space.

The cost for full-service battery replacement from Apple has been running about US$250 in the US, and comes with a standard 90 day warranty for the same problem.

On some models, a refurbished (like new) keyboard will also be included at no additional charge.
