Macbook Repair - zero updates after 10 days and no luck calling support as well

My Macbook Air (purchased new in Oct 2025) failed - Screen does not turn on. I gave it in for repair at the Apple Store. 10 days later, no update. Called apple support and after talking to many automated systems and a human support engineer, no updates either. I am out of my primary laptop and frustrated as no one is giving me any updates let alone ETA. The computer is supposed to be under warranty.

The Apple Store should be able to provide you with an update. Either they are performing the actual repair in house so they know the status & issues.

Or they sent it out to an Apple mail-in repair depot, then the Apple Store should be able to put a request in for an update on your behalf. I forget what details a mail-in repair depot may provide if an Apple Store or AASP checks their service portal for information on the repair, but they can certainly make an official inquiry.

You may need to ask for the Apple Store manager if the front line employees are unable to assist you.
