MacBook Air Big Sur macOS 11 - using H&R Block 2025 Tax Software

I am helping others by adding this summary for the use of 2025 H&R Block tax software with MacBook Air using Big Sur macOS 11. As in 2024 (I made a post last year that I cannot reply to!), I am still using a MacBook Pro with Big Sur, Version 11.7.10. Today 1/30/2026, I bought the HR Block Premium tax software for 2025 taxes. Yes, the specs say for OS12 or higher, but in their help section, they mention "Operating system: Mac OS® X 10.15.7 or higher." I had no problems filing my 2024 tax return with the exact same specs. Based on that, I felt confident and had no problems downloading and using the 2025 tax software. Just like for the 2024 tax return software, there is always a message that pops up when the software first opens that says something like "OS12 is optimum" and you have the option to cancel or continue. Canceling gets you nowhere. I just hit "continue" and the 2025 software works fine. I'll try to add a comment after I successfully upload my tax return. It might take me a week to finish my tax return but I have great confidence that there will be no problems!
