Session players not working in Logic 12

I have a stand-alone version of Logic Pro running on my M1 MacBook Pro 14". After Apple automatically updated my standalone Logic to version 12, I can no longer create session player tracks. After clicking CREAT, nothing happens. I reinstalled the session player libraries and restarted my computer, but nothing helped. I then installed the Apple Creator Studio Bundle Logic 12. Same problem.

Thankfully, I was able to downgrade back to Logic 11 through a Time Machine backup. Everything works perfectly again.

Does anyone have a solution for how to fix this bug?

I am on OS 26.

I had the same problem. It happened to me when I deleted the old library from 11.2 from my external drive, after Logic 12 had made the new bundled library. That is when I noticed I could not start the Session players as you describe.

Luckily, I had backed up my old library, so I added that old Library to the Application support folder, along side the new bundled library. After which I could access the session players again.

The problem went away.

After I downgraded to Logic 11, The App store upgraded Logic again to version 12 automatically. (By the way, I finally figured out to disable apps to be updated automatically). Anyway, this time I have no problems opening the session players in Logic 12. This also fixed the subscription version of Logic 12. It could be that Apple found a fix for their installer without telling us, or it is just one of those magical fix-itself situations. It is however clear that I am by far not the only person who had this problem.
