iPhone Battery Usage shows "Recently Deleted Apps" activity

Good day,

I would like to ask for clarification regarding an item labeled “Recently Deleted Apps” that appears in my iPhone’s Battery Usage section.

I noticed that it shows several hours of usage for days, even though I did not manually delete any apps during that time.

I am concerned and would like to understand why this appears and what activities may cause it to be recorded under “Recently Deleted Apps.”

I would appreciate your explanation and guidance on whether this is normal behavior or if there is anything I should check or do on my device.

Thank you for your time and assistance.

If battery usage appears under Recently Deleted Apps, it means the app was removed after its battery consumption for the selected time period had already been recorded.

For example, if an app is deleted in the afternoon, the battery usage shown may reflect power consumed from 12:00 AM up to the time the app was deleted. Even though the app no longer exists on the device, iOS preserves its earlier battery data for that reporting window.

This is why the app is listed as Recently Deleted rather than disappearing entirely from Battery Usage. The battery usage period and the app deletion time are independent, and understanding this timing prevents misinterpreting the data as ongoing or background activity after deletion.
