Can’t save screen grabs to my photos in IOS 26.2

in pre IOS 26 versions on my 9th generation iPad, when I took a screen shot of a page, a small version of the photo would appear on the bottom left. It would then give me the option to Save to my photos automatically, trash or forward to email or messages, etc. With IOS 26 though it creates the small photo but no way to save it in photos. I’ve looked at every option in the drop down menu to no avail. Am I missing something?

Verify your iPad Screen Capture setting:

Settings > General > Screen Capture > Full-Screen Previews - set to ON

This setting ensures that your screenshot, when triggered, appears as full screen. Review and mark-up as required, then tap the "tick" button at upper-right of the screen to reveal the "save menu".

From here you can Save to Photos, Save to Files or Save to Quick Note.
