Locked out of MacBook Pro due to forgotten password

I’M LOCKED OUT ! ! !

I forgot my password to get into my Apple MacBook Pro, 14” running macOS 26.2. I’ve tried everything I can think of, followed ever screen prompts that came up but still sitting outside. Tried COMMAND R also. Still outside looking in. Short of erasing it and starting over, anyone have any suggestions?
