Yes, depending on the model of phone you have you can use Genmoji to create any emoji you wish. These are not technically emojis, but can be used as ones in Messages and are sent as a picture, instead of a Unicode character.

The emoji installed on your device are standardized across all device platforms and approved by the Unicode Consortium. You can submit emoji proposal requests to them. The reason why that is the case is because you certainly would not want to send a thumbs up emoji from one device where another platform may display it as a thumbs down emoji. Again, an emoji is just a Unicode character, similar to the A, #, or $ on your device.

There are a few others, such as 🙂‍↕️ and 🫨.

But keep in mind Apple isn't in charge of creating Emojis. Instead, the Unicode Consortium organization creates and approves them. The reason being is this ensures that Emojis will be shown properly and universally across all devices. Apple and other companies simply design their own version of them.

And if you have an iPhone or other Apple Device that supports Apple Intelligence, you have the capability to create your own Emojis just with a description.
