How do I remove the large recently saved squares from macOS 26.2 Tahoe bookmarks menu without removing the actual bookmark?

Has anyone figured this out yet? I can right click the large bookmark square and then delete it but that also deletes the bookmark. It is very annoying. Apple, are you listening as well? Help get rid of this.

Do this in Safari:

  1. Open Safari
  2. In the menu bar, click View
  3. Click Hide Recently Saved

That’s it. The large squares disappear, and your actual bookmarks stay exactly where they are.
