Roblox in-app purchase refund after account suspension
Hello Apple Support,
I am requesting a full refund of all money spent on Roblox through the App Store.
My request is based on a fundamental loss of trust caused by Roblox’s moderation and monetisation practices.
Roblox sells avatar items and body types through its in-app shop, approved for purchase by Apple. These items are marketed without clear usage restrictions. After purchasing and using them as designed, my account was suspended for “sexual content.”
This creates a serious consumer issue:
- I was encouraged to spend money on content that the platform later penalised me for using.
- No clear warnings, limitations, or content rules were shown at the time of purchase.
- The enforcement was subjective and applied after the transaction.
- This makes the purchases misleading and unusable.
I did not create explicit or sexual content. The avatar was a muscular male build using standard items sold on the platform. Penalising users for displaying paid cosmetic items defeats the purpose of the purchase.
Because of this inconsistency, I can no longer safely or confidently use Roblox. Any future purchases would carry the same risk of retroactive punishment. As a result, all money spent on the app has effectively lost its value.
I am therefore requesting:
- A full refund of all Roblox-related in-app purchases, and
- A review of Roblox’s compliance with App Store consumer protection standards.
I am not willing to continue supporting or using an app where approved purchases can later result in penalties for normal use.
