Since the latest update (with which I’m very frustrated… for the first time ever. I am one with my best friend the iPad) there are perfectly respectable URL’s that I can’t open…. Goodreads.com and Kroger.com… please help me get back into them. Thank you.

Are you using iCloud Private Relay?
If yes, as a diagnostic exercise, try disabling the Private Relay service on your iPad. On occasion, Private Relay can cause issues with some websites:

Are you using an VPN or security Apps (such as Norton or MacAfee) with your iPad? If so, they may be interfering with your internet connection or browsing activity - and should be removed from your iPad.
Perhaps you are using a "ad blocking" App or utility? If applicable, you may need to revise your site white-listing.
No VPN’s nor ad blockers. I’ve tried several fixes from Googling. Got onto Kroger once and not again. Still denying access to Goodreads.
