iPhone Clock Timer alert too loud with hearing aids

My hearing aids pair with the phone via Bluetooth. Most iPhone and hearing aid features work as expected, but the Apple Clock (Timer) app does not. I get the alert bell from Clock at max volume through the hearing aids, regardless of phone volume Settings, Accessibility or Haptics Settings, or the hearing aid volume settings themeselves. This article How to set and change alarms on your iPhone - Apple Support says "If you connect headphones to your iPhone, the alarm plays at a set volume through the built-in speakers on your iPhone as well as wired and wireless headphones." The volume level of the Timer app is painfully loud in the hearing aids, and unless I can reduce the "set volume" of playback, it becomes useless. Any suggestions are welcome, Thanks. iOS 26.2.1, iPhone SE, Jabra EP360S-C hearing aids (L+R), Jabra EnhancePro control app.

Thanks for the help! For my phone, trying to set the volume while the Timer alarm is playing causes it to immediately stop playing. However, setting the volume with the app open did the trick! I tested it by being away from the device, and setting the volume low and then high. Setting the volume this way also did not disturb the Jabra app settings or the Accessibility settings - meaning the presets for the different hearing profiles did not have their volume changed. Timer volume is under control now, thank you very much.

That does NOT seem to work as written. You have to adjust As the sound is actually playing.

also, try Classic > Harp. it seems a bit gentler

if you have the Jabra "Enhance Plus*" model, that one is MFI capable, and additional controls may be available in its App.

*the asterisk says uses Bidirectional Streaming.

My understanding was that with the App open, the volume level could be set for that specific App with the Volume Up/Down buttons on the side.
