Why can’t I lock iPhone camera to landscape view?
When using the camera on my iPhone, I almost always want the landscape view. I'm constantly twisting my phone to make it switch to landscape view, but even when I have the phone in my hands widthways, it'll often still be in portrait mode. This is especially frustrating when I am taking a photo with the camera aimed straight down, so I often twist the phone around to get it into the correct view, only for it to switch back to portrait mode and make me do it all over again. I so wish that I could lock the iPhone camera on landscape view, or at minimum, make landscape the preferred view so that it doesn't take so much effort and time to persuade it go that way. Throughout history, paintings and photographs done in what we call landscape view far outweigh those done in portrait, why this does not reflect in the camera on the iPhone I do not understand.
