iPad Pro trackpad won't scroll/move after iOS 26.2.1

My ipad pro is not working well with my keyboard following the latest update to IOS 26.2.1. The trackpad wouldn’t work. The cursor would hover and raise the icons, but I couldn’t select them. I was able to fix this in tracking; however, I can’t scroll with the trackpad either. I’m not sure if scroll or slide is the right term. I now have a quarter moon shaped frame in the lower corner that I can use to make the window larger or smaller, but I can’t move it with the trackpad and I can’t slide my Home Screen to the next screen to see the rest of my apps. The ipad itself is working fine as long as I don’t use the keyboard.

As described, your trackpad is tracking/responding to touch and swipe.

Try toggling your Trackpad Tap to Click setting (off > on / on > off or vice-versa):

Settings > General > Trackpad > [Trackpad] Tap to Click

You should note that when set to Off, you must physically press with your finger to register a click; when set to On, a simple tap will register the click - in addition to physical pressure.

If toggling the setting doesn't resolve the problem, you may need to fully reset your iPad settings. While this reset will not cause any loss of data, as a precaution, it is always wise to ensure that you have a current iCloud or iTunes backup before performing the reset:

When you are happy to proceed, you can perform the reset from iPad settings:

Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPad > Reset > Reset All Settings

If the problem still doesn’t clear, the next step is to reset the iPad to factory settings:
