can I change the language of certain widgets without changing all the language settings on my Mac or really any apple device? I am learning Japanese and I would like to have my Tokyo clock in kanji rather than a romanized format without everything being in Japanese as I am nowhere near fluent enough for that. If not that might be a very nice feature in the future for those who are multi lingual.
If you go to system settings > general > language & region and scroll down to the bottom, you can change the language of any app independently, including the Clock app, if that helps.

Have a look at Kanjiclock in the App Store. Works on my iMac despite being for iOS.

would depend on the widget, most would likely develop their widget to use the system language though
That is very helpful but not quite what I need. It puts the descriptions in Japanese not the numbers. For instance the 2 would read ニ or the 6 would look like 六 otherwise it won’t help me learn to tell time as well in Japan. Hopefully that clarifies what I mean.
