I'm Norwegian so the system's language is set to Norwegian, but I am trying to translate a text in Pages to British English, but the only option for language, is English, which seems to be the American variable. That is a bit annoying because it suggests that I correct the spelling sometimes, so how do I change that? It also seems like Portuguese resorts to Brazilian Portuguese. Any solutions?

For British spell check, go to system settings > keyboard > text input > edit > Spelling and set it to British English.
Are you typing the text in or using a translation app on the whole thing?
In theory spell check can be multilingual: go to Setup at the bottom of the spelling language list, check the boxes for your languages, and set it on Automatic by Language. How well it works you can only find out by testing…
Yes! It worked! But it is rather clumsy since I need to remind myself to go back when I want to write in Norwegian or Swedish or even Portuguese, but then I can just change it back to what it was, I guess. I am mostly typing it in, but sometimes I use Google Translate, but I correct it all the time, of course :) Can't trust it, but it saves a bit of time for the simpler parts. I don't have to use it, though, and I am a bit sceptical regarding apps which use AI.
The only thing which annoyed me was to see those dotted lines when I wrote realise or humour or neighbour. They are gone now and I can rest in peace :) Thanks a lot!
Yes, it was set to automatic earlier, so obviously it doesn't work perfectly. The English then is more like a generalised, slightly American English, like the Portuguese is more like Brazilian than European Portuguese. But when I am finished with this project, I'll switch it back.
