How do I recover contacts after an iPhone update?

The newest update dropped my contacts from my phone . Did anyone else have this issue?

Contacts are not stored directly on the iPhone as such no updates can just drop them.


It's possible the email account that holds them requires re-authentication and until it happens content rom the account including contacts would not be available.


Go to Settings ➜ Apps ➜ Contacts ➜ Accounts and make sure all your accounts there have the Contacts option turned on.
