Importing Sony miniDV videos to macOS Catalina 10.15

Hi there

I have missed two sunny winter days for trying to move Sony miniDV videos to Catalina 10.15 using iMovie 10 without suxxes.

I have in my laptop´s right side the place for thunderbolt 2 and into it a 9 pin adapter to firewire to camera. Sony offered their application for mac with no result. They told to shut down computer and restart if it did not worked, I did it thought it sounded like Windows, but with no result again.

Here is brand new MacBook Air too with Thunderbolt 3 to 2 wire with same issue. My wife has 20 ys old Windows, but I beg for mersey, please.
