Calendar app changes new event time to match a past event with the same name

When entering a new event in the calendar app, on both my iPhone and iPad, if the event has the same name as a past event, it changes the time I entered for the new one to match the past event

I do change it but there have been times that it still seems to go back to the old (wrong) time. Just seems that since it’s not being set up as a recurring event, it should not keep the original time. How often do you have events like doctor appointments that occur at the same time 6 months or a year later? Not a helpful feature.

I think the key word there is "seems."

Ok - then it DOES change back to the old time when I enter the date and time before entering the title of the event. And before you give the unhelpful instruction to always enter the title first, the reason for doing it in this order is that if I’m making an appointment and we agree on the date and time I enter that first so I don’t forget the info.

Based on your previous responses I don’t expect you to provide anything useful but wanted you to know that your flippant replies are not appreciated.
