2025 Mac Air experiencing daily virus pop-ups

I get several daily pop ups saying my Mac has a virus from McAFEEI , I have 2025 Mac Air.

Have you in fact installed some McAfee software on your Mac? If not, this is certainly a scam. Do not click on any links.

And if you ever see a message like this one that has a phone number to call, run – do not walk – the other way! The number likely belongs to tech support scammers who are eagerly waiting for more victims to call.


As the FTC once said on their tech support scam page, real security warnings will never ask you to call a phone number.

Installing useless third-party anti-virus apps, so-called "cleaning" apps, and client-side VPNs ( the ones NOT issued by your employer) gets you three things:

— reduced performance

— reduced stanilty

— reduce bank account
