Erasing an iPad Pro that won't turn on

I'm trying to erase the data and apps from my old ipad pro, but the battery died and it won't turn back on

Then you can't erase it. There is no magic way to erase an iPad if it does not turn on.


Plug it into power (not a computer Usb port or other low power port, make sure it is an actual charger brick from an iPad or Mac connected to a wall socket), and leave it for a couple hours.


If after a couple of hours it does not turn on, then it's effectively dead and as such there is no way to get to the data.


Remove it from your account in https://iCloud.com/find and set it to be erased there. That way if it ever does power on and connects to the internet it will be erased.
