How to do a Mail Merge in Apple products?

Grand frustration trying to do a simple mail merge! Nothing works with the Apple suite of products. Is there a way to create a Pages document, with mail merge fields, and then to send that document so that each individual from my Apple contacts list will get only the one page addressed to them? It's outrageous to read online that I have to revert to the Microsoft suite of products to do this.

Microsoft Office integrates Mail Merge with the Outlook email client so that it can be an integrated solution. Apple stops after the Pages Mail Merge and then you will need to manually perform the email phase with the merged document(s).

Apple did not create clones of the respective Microsoft tools, nor the workflow as available in Microsoft Office. Choosing the right tools for the task eliminates outrage.
