iPad Pro m2 battery drains very fast with iPadOS 26.
With no usage, iPad Pro M2 sleeping, WiFi and Bluetooth on and all Apple defaults set, the battery will last less than 10 hours. Would like to get our “normal battery life” back so we can actually use it again as it is designed. Any guidance or suggestions?
A little background; Took iPad Pro into our local Apple store's Genius Bar, they checked it with their diagnostics said nothing was wrong with it and it is operating normally, the battery is at 96%. They recommended to start with a fresh iPadOS install and download our personal Apps later from the App Store. I agreed and they put a fresh iPadOS 26.2.1 install directly from a laptop. It is wiped clean, installed with default Apple software. Let it sit for 24 hours to complete any background installation and rebooted. As a test NO other Apps have been installed and the battery was charged to 100% then unplugged. iPad sleeping, screen not on, checked on it every couple hours, battery was dead in less than 10 hours.
