New iPad Air experiencing extreme battery drain
Hi,
I have an issue with my iPad battery.
I bought it in December, it is an iPad m3 air. I did not have any issues at first, it could last at least 10 intensive hours (I never used it for so long but looking on how well the battery kept I am assuming it could do it). I also take care of the battery by not charging it above 80% and keep it above 40%. I even have, I would call it, battery saving settings, no app refreshing and so on, no power saving mode tho.
For about 10-12 days, I am having an extreme battery drain. It literally drops like 1% per minute, in the battery settings it says I had settings on screen opened for 3 minutes and it took 4% battery.
I took it to an authorized or whatever it is called apple reseller and one guy said that before I give it for a check up I might want to wait for another apple iPad os update as the last one apparently screwed up the batteries on many devices. I listened, but after coming back home I checked the iPad again (I did not use it for a few days) and then realized how quick the battery drain was. I don't think the guy meant it that bad. Previously I thought its not 1% per minute.. :)
Is this really a software issue or should I just give it to the service?
PS. My battery health is still at 100%, and has 28 cycles. I also see the device warming up much quicker and warmer than ever. It used to be pretty much cold during any of my usage.
Thanks.
