Getting to Mission Control Space Thumbnails

After uploading Tahoe 26.6, I've been having a problem with Mission Control Space Thumbnails above the menu bar. Control Up Arrow shows spaces, but only with numbered boxes. If I want to SEE the thumbnail, I have to scroll up and place my cursor in the boxes. Then I can see them. In the past, control up arrow would immediately display the thumbnails without any further action on my part.

Is there a fix, am I going crazy, or is this some kind of bug?

In my experience, not yet with Tahoe, Mission Control behaves just as you describe.

Control-up arrow invokes the Mission Control view and exposes the applications that are open in a space, but the mouse pointer must be moved into place in the Spaces bar at the top to display the thumbnail view and visualize the contents of those numbered Spaces.

If the mouse pointer is already at the top of the screen when the keystroke or gesture is invoked, then the row of Spaces will display their thumbnail views.

If there is a way to have those Spaces display their thumbnails otherwise, I don't know what that is.
