Has Final Cut Pro v12 improved caption syncing?

We streamed a video that was embedded in a web page from my phone to our Apple TV tonight. The video did not have closed captions so the iPhone was creating them on the fly in real time. The captions displayed perfectly synced to the spoken words except for some spelling errors when there were unique words.

Every time I have tried using transcribe to captions in FCP the captions never sync perfectly to the spoken. They always need to be manipulated in some fashion which is time consuming. Have tried captionAnimator and it has the same issues.

Has the transcribe to captions been improved in FCP v12?

I’m running the standalone version of Final Cut Pro 12, which should have the same feature set and capabilities as the Creator Studio version. Caption transcription has been awful so far. What’s strange is that on some of my videos, they start out fine, but eventually drift to the point that they may be placed as much as 5 seconds before the actual spoken words.
