Keyboard shortcuts for text styles in Pages

Hi everyone!

I’m trying to switch to Apple eco system 100%, but things like this make it really hard.

Is there a way to format text in Pages using keyboard shortcuts?

I mean styles such as “Heading”, “Body”, “Caption”.

I can’t find anything in Web or in Pages.

If there were a “Style” option under “Format”, there would be a possibility to use app specific shortcuts.

macOs: 26.1
Pages: version 13.1 (7037.0.101)

Thank you in advance!

Mac mini, macOS 26.1

Pages v13.1 was last supported on macOS Monterey. It would be wise to update it to Pages v15.1 (Mac App Store) for best compatibility with macOS Tahoe 26.2.1. Pages v15.1 is not subscription unless you deliberately subscribe to Apple's new Creator Studio. Do keep macOS and Pages up to date.

Observe the > symbol for each of the Paragraph styles. When you click that, a menu appears whose last entry is Shortcut. That gives you 8 unique F1 - F8 keyboard shortcuts to assign to the paragraph style. Character styles have the same functionality.
