"MacBook Air display dims/blacks out during video on battery: When I watch a video program on the New York Times website, with my MacBook Air on battery, after 30 seconds or so the display will dim, then after a bit more time the display goes black. How do I prevent this from happening?"

Turn Off Low Power Settings:
Go Here: Change Battery Preferences on a Mac Notebook - Tahoe - Apple Support
- Go to: Apple menu
- Select: System Settings
- Select: Battery in the sidebar (You may need to scroll down.)
- Select: "Never" on (top-right) for "Low Power Mode"
- Click: Options... button (bottom-left)
- Toggle Off: [top two items]
- Click: Done button
- Close: System Settings
