iPhone 15 screen indentation/reflection below Dynamic Island
Hi everyone,
I recently bought a brand new iPhone 15 (less than a month since activation, bought sealed). The phone has never been dropped and is in pristine condition.
However, I noticed a slight "indentation" or "bump" in the screen's reflection, located just below the Dynamic Island on the right side. It is almost invisible in normal lighting, but very noticeable under high-intensity point lights (like gym reflectors or direct sunlight).
Key observations:
* Tactile: I can't feel it with my finger, the glass feels smooth.
* Pressure: If I press near the area, the reflection distortion becomes much more apparent, as if the screen is hitting a rigid internal component.
* Display: When the screen is on, the image is 100% perfect—no discoloration, no dead pixels, and touch works fine.
* Internal Layout: Looking at teardown photos, this spot seems to align perfectly with the metal shield/bracket that protects the display connector.
Has anyone else noticed this on their base iPhone 15? Is it a common manufacturing characteristic or should I be worried about long-term damage to the OLED?
Here is a video showing the reflection distortion in motion: http://bit.ly/4qlrAXw
Thanks!
