If your Beats shows a white light briefly when plugged in and then fades out — and won’t power on or reset — that usually points to either a battery state issue, a firmware lockup, or (less commonly) a hardware fault.

Here's a few things I recommend that you try:

  • First, try a deep power reset + proper charging check, because Beats headphones sometimes appear dead when the battery controller is stuck. Plug them into a known-good USB-C charger (not just a computer port) and leave them connected for at least 20–30 minutes even if the light turns off. Then while still plugged in, hold the power button for a full 15–20 seconds. If nothing happens, unplug the cable, wait 10 seconds, and try again. Also test with a different USB-C cable and wall adapter .
  • If that doesn’t work, try forcing a firmware wake-up by connecting them to a device. Plug the headphones into an iPhone, iPad, Mac, or Windows PC with Bluetooth on, and hold the power button for about 10 seconds to see if they enter pairing mode. On Apple devices, check Bluetooth settings to see if they appear even briefly. Sometimes they are actually on but stuck in a nonresponsive state until they reconnect to a device.

If resets still fail, there are a few likely causes:

  • Battery is deeply discharged or failing (most common)
  • Charging port or internal power circuit issue
  • Firmware crash that needs service-level restore

Since you’re not near an Apple Store, you still have options:

  • Use Apple Support online — they can run remote diagnostics and arrange mail-in repair.
  • Go to support.apple.com → Beats → Repairs & Physical Damage.
