Can my 2016 MacBook Pro update beyond macOS Monterey?

I have a MacBook Pro,13-inch, 2016 currently on macOS Monterey 12.7.6. Says up to date. My quicken program sent this message: "Support for macOS 12 (Monterey) will be ending soon." Is my mac compatible with newer macOS versions?

The latest version of MacOS that is supported on your now your ten-year old Mac is MacOS 12 Monterey.

Your Mac can continue to do everything it could do on the day you took it out of the box, plus a lot more because Apple has provided multiple version upgrades to MacOS, Free.

That alarm is a statement from Quicken that they are not willing to test their software compatibility with older macOS.

Their message should be read as:

QUICKEN is no longer willing to put in the work to Test and provide Support for newer versions of Quicken for MacOS 12 (Monterey).

Correct.

They have made a deliberate business decision to NOT spend the money to test new releases of their software on older MacOS, and to NOT spend the money to train their support staff about new features running in older MacOS.

Given that their market share is built on their legacy of previous versions running under older MacOS, this decision is reprehensible.
