Watch library of films bought from Apple on android mobile

How do I access my Apple TV library of films on an android mobile device? The Apple TV app does not show my library - why is that? I've paid Apple for the films and should be able to watch them on any device I choose to use

Your purchased content is available on your Mac, iPad, iPhone, PC, or Apple TV device. The Apple TV app on other devices provides access only to subscribed content and not to your library. You can also link your purchases to Movies Anywhere and view on other supported devices.

Why can't I access films I have paid Apple for, on my android device? Are Apple deliberately restricting it? If so, why do they not make that clear when I purchase a film? Surely it would be as bad as a shop selling blurays that can't be played on a Samsung bluray player?

The simple answer is that you cannot. Unlike a physical Bllu-Ray, you purchase a license to use digital content, you do not own it.
