iPod Nano (7th Gen) not syncing all artists from Music app

Loading a never used iPod Nano (7th Gen) from iMac running Ventura 13. In the "My iPod" window 98% of the artists on my Mac music app are listed. There are about 20 random artists that are not listed to sync. Any clue as to what's going or or how to rectify?
