Lost my iphone and now its being removed.

Did you reply to a text "from Apple" to sign in to retrieve your phone. If so you were scammed.

Or did you remove it yourself?

Either way, you will never see it again.

If you have other Apple devices I would change your Apple account password

It is likely that the “notification” was a phishing scam, and when you went “to findmy” using the link in it, you were actually going to a fake site created by criminals to steal your Apple Account credentials.

Or perhaps the thieves learned your credentials in some other way. In any case, “will be removed” from the real site tells us that Activation Lock has already been cleared. Only if the thieves leave your phone unmolested for a month might it automatically come back on - and realistically, they aren’t going to give it that chance.

Buy a new phone and change your Apple account password, as I said before.

Did you enable any of these after the iPhone was lost?

• Mark As Lost.
• Erase your device. If your missing device is covered by AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss, you shouldn't erase your device. Instead, file a claim for your lost or stolen device.
