Keynote Remote missing; cannot link iPhone and iPad

My iPhone16 and my iPad Air are 15 mo and 12 mo old respectively. Both are running iOS25.2.1. Both have Keynote 15.1. They are on the same Wi-Fi network. Local Network is enabled on both. Neither present me with a Keynote Remote option and I cannot link the devices. Any ideas?

(I'm in the UK and it's BT) Blue tooth is on on all devices I tried every permutation of devices, each time clearing all links and restarting devices, repairing and same result. I've just tried again this morning with Keynote 15.1 on all devices and still nothing. I'm going into the office later and I'll try there in case it's my network that's the problem I would be glad to hear any suggestions.

No option of allow remote control on Keyn… - Apple Community I'm following the instructions on my iPad (iPadOS 16.6) and iPhone (iOS 17.0.2). Where I get stuck... Tap the More button in the toolbar, tap Allow Remote Control, then turn on Enable Remotes. Nope. I don't see "Allow Remote Control" on the iPad. I've followed the instructions, both are logged into the same Wi-Fi network, both devices have access to Local Network... what am I missing?

Solved. Among the cause were that I was in Edit mode on one of the devices. It is working now. The phone was already linked, maybe carried forward from a previous iPhone/iPad combination, but the link was not working so I unlinked and linked again. It is working now.
