Sorry, I don't understand. You presumably downloaded the application, so you must have know it's a subscription;
also, FCP continues to be available for purchase, and if you have purchased it before, your license remains valid. I purchased FCP back in 2011 and have no interest in the subscription, but I am glad that I can use FCP 12.0 just fine. One can even today purchase the application outright, if one so desires.
As to region, I believe the limitations are related to the AI stuff; I don't know if the same limitations apply to the purchased version. Unfortunately, it seems that the only demo version that Apple offers now is the one for the subscription, and not the standalone.
