How can I prevent someone from disabling Lost Mode on a stolen iPhone without a passcode?

The point of Lost Mode is protect your device and data when it’s misplaced or stolen. But you must also have a way of turning off Lost Mode and confirming the device is found, hence the ability to turn off lost mode from the device itself.

The point of a passcode is to only allow the device’s owner to change the device’s settings and access the data on the iPhone. By removing (disabling) passcode protections, you removed your primary means of protecting your data.

If you don't place a Passcode on your iPhone, then anyone who picks up the phone will have complete access to all of the data on the phone.......including your personal information.

There are a number of options for the Passcode, so you won't have to enter it every minute. You can have the phone time out after 5 minutes, 15 minutes, etc.

But, it really makes no sense to leave your front door wide open with the lights on as well if you are leaving your home. That is essentially what you are doing if you don't use a Passcode on the phone.

Having a phone with no passcode signed-into apple account is like leaving the safe door unlocked and your life history inside it.

Heaven knows what information they were to harvest. Those emails may well be fake if they got into your contacts.

Change your Apple account password NOW and kiss your phone goodbye.

Don't use lost mode. Erase it. You're never going to see it again anyway.
