If the scammer has already put the phone in Lost Mode, there's no way to get back control of the phone. Let me guess........You wanted to download something, and the scammer had you sign into your phone with their Apple Account, right? We're seeing a lot of this almost daily from people in Russia. And since there is no official Apple Support in Russia, nor any authorized Apple sellers in Russia, nothing can be done to help people who fell for this scam.

If you'd like to provide more details, like where you are, if you're the original buyer and if you bought the phone from Apple directly, we might be able to help. But I doubt it.

You are most assuredly going to get a ransom demand to give you access to the phone again. DON'T PAY IT. If you do, they'll recognize you're willing to pay and just demand more money. You are more likely going to have to go buy a new phone.

Strangely some victims here are also in Russia.
Apart from a ransom I can't see any benefit to the scammer, maybe I missed something.

I would be tempted, if I had 2 or more Apple devices available, to change my Apple Account password, though I guess it depends if the scam process retrieved the victims password.

The benefit IS the ransom. People willingly give control to someone, ostensibly believing they're going to be able to download something they can't and then they lose total control of the phone and if they want it back, they have to pay a ransom. Of course, I'm only guessing in this users case as they provided no more detail in their post to know what really happened.
