Epson Stylus Photo R3000 and MAC mini

I recently purchased a new MAC mini. I have 2 Epson printers. My airdrop printer works but my Epson Stylus Photo R3000 does not work anymore. I have done all the things to update and install the driver and utilities but still does not work. I cannot add it as another printer option. I do not see an IP address on the report. It does have 0.0.0.0

in that section. I have it connected by a USB into a USB-C to Digital AV to the MAC mini. What am I doing wrong and what can I do right to make this awesome printer work? Thank you to whoever can help me out or attempt to.

When you install (or reinstall) the Epson drivers & utilities it is best to use a USB connection. You will be asked what connection to use during the install. Follow the prompts exactly. Once the printer is working via USB you can then change it to WiFi or wired ethernet.

In the past, my experience with Epson printer drivers was that you had to select the connection type during installation and if you wanted to change the connection type you had to reinstall the drivers from scratch. That seems to have changed with the R3000 but it's good to know just in case it doesn't work the way it is documented.

See the Epson R3000 Installation Guide for more info.

Hmm... it should work with those Epson provided drivers for macOS 26.

To make sure that the Mac mini is seeing the Printer on the USB connection.

Go to Apple > About This Mac > More Info > System Report... > select USB in the Hardware section.

If it is not seen in the USB section, try a different USB-C to USB adapter.

If it is, go to Printer & Scanner settings and try adding the Printer.
