Help with back screen 26.3

The only thing that worked for me was to go to Settings->Wallpaper. Change the iPhone's Home Screen and also background to a photo, and then select "Set as Current"

Since this issue apparently happens with other updates, based on previous complaints, it's a systemic bug.

Yes changing to a photo, just worked for me. Nuisance these things. My background was purely a colour, and I'm still not sure it's exactly the same, but at least it's back. Even so, I tried once and it went back to black again. Updates are often a real pain, just about always these days taking an hour orso, to sort out glitches.
