There's no option to tap an anything after the phone autocorrects my previous word. This is what I'm trying to disable.
It doesn't show the x, when it changes my word before my current word.
This only ever shows for actual autocorrection suggestions on current words but never on the previous words.
I don't mind the latter, but changing my previous words is really frustrating. I've already moved on and half the time don't realise. It's almost always wrong, because I know how to type, so by the time it changes my words it's from the words I specifically edited or typed.
Half the time my messages are incoherent as a result. It's not just me. Everyone complains about it but it's been broken for a long time now.
I really don't get how phones regressed so much behind.
I'd love to be able to disable this broken function. Once I disabled autocorrection and enabled autocapitalisation, now the autocapitalisation doesn't work so i spell i with a lowercase letter.
I don't want to move back to Android just to be able to spell and type my messages without sounding like an idiot who can't put a coherent sentence together.
I've seen on this forum how many people have had these issues for years so instead of trying to tell me how to spell, I'd love for this to be actually fixed please. A turned off functionality should turn it off - not ignore user preferences. It's against basic accessibility.
(to clarify, i know that you're not working for Apple so i don't expect you to fix it for me!)
i can't even be bothered to correct spelling issues anymore.
