Refund to old Apple Cash virtual card after change?

I made a purchase on Amazon last month January 31st 2026, I had an issue with the item which costed a little more than 2,000 usd. I purchased the item with a debit card, the debit card I entered on Amazon at checkout was my Apple Pay debit card, virtual card number, since then I have changed my virtual card number on Apple Cash 2-4 times. Will there be an issue with the return being sent to my old Apple Cash card number that no longer exist? I have the same account just that the virtual card number has been changed.

Apple Pay does not have a debit card and it’s not an account. You used your Apple Cash Card, a prepaid debit card. When the merchant completes the refund, funds will be transferred from their bank account to Green Dot bank and they’ll be credited to your account. It makes no difference if you changed the virtual card number or changed it multiple times.
