iCloud setup error: 'Could not communicate with server

when i try to setup icloud after i click on my apple id on the settings it says this

"could not sign in

could not communicate with the server"

  • You are on Low Power Mode. Charge your phone and make sure you are not on Low Power mode.
  • Do you have a VPN installed. If so, remove it. Simply turning off may not work.
  • It does not appear you have a cellular connection, which would be the next step when there is a problem with WiFi not allowing access to the iCloud server. Sometimes restarting a router may resolve an issue, but it is easier to check on cellular. The Wifi symbol just means you are connected to your router, not necessarily that your router is communicating with the iCloud server or any network connection.
