Where is the Customize Toolbar option in Pages 15.1 on iPad?

How to customize toolbar on Pages 15.1 on iPad?

The help page gives the following instructions:

  1. Go to the Pages app  on your iPad.
  2. Open a document.
  3. Tap , then tap Customise Toolbar.
  4. Drag to add or remove items from the toolbar.
  5. Tap Done.

…however there is no “customise toolbar” button on the new version of Pages!

Edit: I found it. You have to swipe down to reveal the menu bar, then go to “view>customie toolbar.”

Annoyingly, it still doesn’t allow me to get rid of the “content hub.”

It's trickier with Pages v15.1.1 for iPadOS 26.3.

Place your pointer in some text and click to enable the paintbrush toolbar item. Click it. Ignore the panel that opens, and move your pointer above the toolbar icons until it collides with the top of the Pages window. The customary application menu will descend and offer the View menu, where you will find the Customize Toolbar… item.

This is documentation elusive and poor design.

Alternatively, and with more frustration, one can lightly place their index finger at the juncture of the document window and the iPad frame, then slightly drag downwards to expose the application menus. Not as simple as the first paragraph.
