Recently my MacBook Air was updated to OS 15.7.2 and it seems iCloud has disappeared from my Finder...while I can save to iCloud Drive it does not show where I can retrieve from it without logging in via browser...How can I restore the link from the Finder?

I'm not sure what you mean by "disappeared from my Finder." Can you be more specific?
In Tahoe, the iCloud Library folder is located in your own User's folder:
In Sequoia, this may be called Mobile Documents, at ~/Library/Mobile Documents. Is that there for you?
The place we usually access it is in the Finder's sidebar:
Do you see iCloud Drive in the Sidebar?
You can control what appears in the Sidebar with Finder's Settings:
There, you'll see the options for what appears in the sidebar.
Is iCloud Drive checked for you?
