Can an iPhone 13 with a repaired cracked back be traded in?

The back of my iPhone 13 just got cracked today and I was wondering if I got it fixed, would I be able to trade it in? I know it seems a bit counterproductive to spend money to fix it and then further spend money to buy a new phone but I think I'll be able to save some money with the trade-in process.

I know that phones with cracks aren't able to be traded in for money, but in my case if I get it fixed would I be able to?

I would rather trade-in so I can get some money off my new phone than just be left with an old phone I wont use, and I feel like no one buys iPhone 13s anymore.

Thanks :)

Re: “It is not possible to know the actual trade in value that Apple would allow at this point, but a guesstimate would be in the $125 - $150 range.”

I believe I looked it up on the trade-in site yesterday, and the most Apple will offer for a regular iPhone 13 in good condition is $180. So if the repairs needed to get the $180 (best case) credit cost at least $350, that would put the OP at least $170 underwater.

There are carriers in US that will give you $1,000 trade in on an iPhone 17 Pro model. iPhone can be in any condition and be a 13 model or newer. What’s the catch? The credit ($1000) is divided by 36 months, you must subscribe to an unlimited plan and that’ll cost about $60 a month.

Let’s see $60 x 36 months = $2160, then subtract $1000 = $1160 and divide by 36 equals $32 a month and you have a new iPhone 17 Pro and unlimited plan for around $32 a month, interest free.
