How to find a Samsung M2020 laser printer driver for MacBook Air with macOS Monterey?

I'm looking for a driver to use a Samsung M2020 laser printer with my 2017 MacBook Air with OS Monterey. Links take me to the HP support site but there is no Apple Mac OS systems listed. Anyone got a work around?

Since the HP site shows only Windows support, then no macOS driver was developed by either Samsung, or later by HP, and you are out of luck. This is not an Apple AirPrint supported device either.

Just buy another monochrome laser printer that is supported in Apple's AirPrint and you will never need vendor drivers again. An example would be the Brother HL-L2405W monochrome laser (~139 USD).

Per the Samsung support page for this ten year old printer, Mac OS support is listed as OS X 10.5 - OS X 10.11 (that's Leopard - El Capitan).

There is no indication that this printer supports Apple's AirPrint wireless printing.

Sorry, I don't know a workaround for this.

Once upon a time there was a group that maintained generic drivers for old printers and the Mac, but that appears to have dropped away since the release of Catalina and its 64-bit requirement.

An active HP link may still exist for an older (V3.93.08?) Samsung universal printer driver, which then possibly could be tested with the M2020 and macOS Monterey.

As always, download from an official web site of a printer manufacturer (here HP). Do not download anything from dubious third-party "support" sites (often with misleading names) on the Internet.
