Unsubscribed podcasts played on my HomePod using Siri

I use Siri to start playing podcasts on my HomePod. I just say "play podcast" without specifying a program, and then expect to get the next podcast played that is in my library.

Since recent the HomePod plays 2 podcasts of a program that I never subscribed to. I don't see them anywhere in the podcast app on my iPhone (not in "Next" list or in my library).

How can I get rid of those?

Check the actual queue on the HomePod itself, as it often holds a different list than your iPhone app. Open Control Center on your iPhone, tap the AirPlay icon (or long-press the music tile), and select your HomePod from the list.

If you see those unwanted episodes in the "Up Next" list there, just swipe left to delete them.

Siri might also be pulling from general recommendations rather than your library. Try being more specific with the command, like "Play my station" or "Play my unplayed podcasts," to force it back to your subscribed content.
